Florida Bound: Jeff Rudolf Is Ready For The U.S. Street Nationals

When Jeff Rudolf and his team were faced with adversity in 2019 they didn’t give up — instead, they found a way to work the problem and finish the season strong. Coming into 2020, Rudolf is ready to unleash the full potential of his twin-turbo Pro Mod and he plans on using the U.S. Street Nationals as a launching point for a successful season.

Rudolf is a seasoned racer with an impressive resume of NMCA wins in several categories, and in 2018 he recently made the jump to Pro Mod behind the wheel of his Larry Jeffers-built 1969 Camaro. The 2019 season didn’t start as planned after some issues at Bradenton Motorsports Park during testing led the team to a crossroads about where its program needed to go. After reviewing all of his options, Rudolf made the decision to switch to Pro Line Racing power with FuelTech products handling the engine’s operation.

Making the choice to change engines led to a late start for Rudolf and his team, but the results were well worth the wait.

“As a team, we learned the decision we made back in March on the way home from Bradenton to switch engines and engine management was well worth it after we started making laps in the car. Our team works great with Jamie Miller and Tim Davis when it comes to the operation of the car. The staff at Pro Line Racing and FuelTech have put together one hell of a machine for us and we’re thankful for their assistance. We are always learning new things when we’re at the track with them and we’re looking forward to working with the best in the business again this season,” Rudolf says.

Rudolf and his team ended the year strong at the World Street Nationals by posting a new personal best E.T. with a 3.66 and speed at 219 mph. Those numbers are impressive and show the team should be a player at the U.S. Street Nationals in the Pro Mod class. Rudolf and company plan on qualifying in the top half of the field so they have a better shot at winning the event. Ultimately, if the Camaro can light the boards with passes in the low 3.60s, Rudolf will be pleased with the team’s performance.

“We’re looking forward to hanging with the top of the pack to start off the new season. There’s going to be stiff competition at the U.S. Street Nationals, but it’s nothing that our car, team, and crew can’t handle. Bradenton is one of our favorite tracks and we’re looking forward to racing in the sunshine state while being competitive,” Rudolf says.
