The Mid-West Pro Mod Series (MWPMS) is one of the hottest new racing associations in the United States and features some stellar Pro Modified action. With a huge variety of cars and stars, the MWPMS always puts on a good show when they hit the track. For 2018, the MWPMS is heading to the Outlaw Street Car Reunion V at Beech Bend Raceway Park and it is guaranteed to catapult this event to a new level.

Bringing in the MWPMS to the Outlaw Street Car Reunion will make the event a part of an elite set of races that combines the best in Pro Modified and radial tire racing. According to Keith Haney, organizer of the MWPMS, it made sense to bring the series to an event like the Outlaw Street Car Reunion for his racers and the fans.

“Classes like Radial vs The World are getting really expensive to race and it’s hard for the average racer to participate. With that in mind, I went to Tyler and asked him what he thought about bringing the MWPMS to the event. Along with the other classes that were already there, I wanted the MWPMS to be a part of that show and it worked out well for our series with the timing,” Haney says.

The turnouts for MWPMS events has been impressive since it’s founding, and coming to the Outlaw Street Car Reunion will help build on that even more with new fans seeing the series for the first time. The fans will be treated to some outstanding doorslammer racing from the MWPMS, and it will work perfectly with the already established Outlaw Street Car Reunion program.

Make no mistake, the MWPMS will be able to hold their own at this radial tire event and is going to bring some big-time racing to Beech Bend Raceway.

“There will be a lot of great cars at this event with some totally awesome combinations. You’ve got every type of power-adder imaginable running all in the same class; you don’t get a better show than that. You’re going to see a variety of cars and drivers running each other, and the difference in the cars is great. You could see a Corvette run a Studebaker — there are so many different body styles so the fans will get a great show. There will be plenty of 3.70 passes the fans will love,” Haney says.

Moving East to Bowling Green, Kentucky for the Outlaw Street Car Reunion will provide an opportunity for some interesting matchups on the track for the MWPMS racers. This will be the first big chance for some of those who participate in the series to see what racing is like in the region, and it will allow the East Coast racers an opportunity to play in a new series.

“Fans are going to get to see different racers from the Midwest, so I think the big names that play in other series will come see what they can do in ours. The characters that run in the MWPMS are second to none — they have a big mouth, talk a big game, and will come to race. It will be cool to see this inside the event and it will make things interesting when the racing begins,” Haney explains.
