Lamborghini has a reputation for creating some of the most provocative exotic vehicles in the world. A Lamborghini is going to have striking looks and a fair amount of horsepower on tap. Shahzad Hussain’s 2018 Lamborghini Huracan Performante puts just a little more emphasis on the horsepower part, over 2,000 at the tires to be exact.
The Huracan (Spanish for “hurricane”) was unleashed on the automotive world in 2014. Lamborghini created the Huracan to replace the Gallardo in its lineup. From the factory, the Huracan was equipped with a V10 engine that cranked out 602 horsepower in stock form. The Performante version of the Huracan was outfitted with exterior carbon fiber parts that improved performance, upgraded suspension, and it made 631 horsepower from the factory.
A stock Huracan Performante is impressive, but Shahzad wanted more. To crank up the horsepower, Shahzad took his Lambo to Sheepey Race to get some upgrades. A built powertrain and pair of turbos push the Performante to make over 2,000 horsepower. Some giggle juice is pumped through a Nitrous Outlet kit into the engine for good measure.
If you’re going to be putting some big horsepower to the ground, you’ll need a good set of wheels and tires. The front of Shahzad’s Performante rolls on Forgeline VX1R wheels wrapped in Toyo Proxes R888R tires. In the rear, a set of Forgeline VX1R beadlocks keeps the Mickey Thompson ET Street tires secured to the wheel.
Some people might see the parachute hanging off the back of Shahzad’s Huracan Performante and think it’s just there for show. But after hearing the car roar down the track as its turbos make plenty of boost, it becomes obvious this car runs just as good as it looks…
