Rig Of The Month: 42′ Sundowner Gooseneck With Living Quarters

As the official trailer/motorcoach dealer of Dragzine, Flying A Motorsports’ extensive lineup of new and used motorhomes and toterhomes, race car trailers, stacker trailers, car haulers, and cargo trailers will be highlighted here in a monthly feature, the Rig of the Month.

This month’s rig affords a racer or automotive enthusiast the best of both worlds: room to haul your racecar or extracurricular vehicles, and plenty of room to kick back and relax overnight.

This 2019 model, 42-foot Sundowner gooseneck features 17-feet, 9-inches of vehicle storage — enough to fit many racecars and muscle cars — and full living quarters, including an 8-foot slide-out, a kitchen with sink, stove, microwave, and refrigerator, along with a master bedroom, toilet and shower, and a couch in the living room area. The cargo area is also equipped with a removable bunk to sleep additional family and crew.

The tandem spread-axle rig sports a number of great operational and exterior features, including an electric awning, 50-amp electrical package and 110-volt exterior battery, dual hydraulic jacks, a 15,000 BTU A/C unit, a roof-mounted Onan 5.5 kW generator with access ladder, and more. The blackout package with a screwless aluminum exterior and tapered nose also gives the rig a great look going down the highway or parked at the racetrack or campground.
