Marty Robertson’s 1968 Barracuda known as “Bad Fish” is a radial tire machine that’s turned heads thanks to its stunning looks and its performance on the track. At No Mercy 7 in South Georgia last month, Robertson brought the “Bad Fish” out packing an all-new screw blown engine combination from Carl Stevens at Xtreme Race Cars that made it even more over-the-top. But in the build-up to that competitive debut, the guys at Nyce1s were on hand at Northstar Dragway to film this amazing documentary showing Robertson and his team trying to get the Bad Fish ready for No Mercy 7 after the change to the screw blower.
The detail and the camera work that Nyce1s put into this documentary about Robertson’s preparations for the big race give a whole new perspective on what a race team does when testing a new combination. With this video you get to take a step behind the scenes to see how the team functions and who the key people are. Nyce1s adds a layer of color to the documentary by providing perspective on what drives Robertson to race at this level and his history with the sport.
At the end of the video you see the unfortunate engine damage and ensuing accident that occurred during the third qualifying round at No Mercy 7 that left the “Bad Fish” heavily damaged. Nyce1s continues with their excellent documentary tale, sharing at the end of this video a tease of a possible sequel “The Return of the Bad Fish”, where we could see Robertson bringing his Barracuda back to full race form.
