Vortech Racers Lock Up Championships, Records, And Wins In 2018

Racers using Vortech superchargers have been able to achieve new levels of success during the 2018 season. Vortech racers secured big wins, series championships, and set new personal bests in a variety of drag racing series across the United States. Having such an active collection of racers is allowing Vortech to push their product development to new and higher levels going into the 2019 racing season.

Western racer Andrew Osborne took his 1991 Mustang that rides on a set of 8.5-inch tires and secured the PSCA Rocky Mountain Summer Series Outlaw 8.5 championship. Osborne’s Mustang is powered by a nasty 388 cubic-inch small-block Ford with a Vortech V-30 112A blower for boost. Daniel Pachar scored two wins in a row driving the V-30 123A boosted “Hired Help” Mustang. Pachar won the Extreme 28 class at the Outlaw Explosion event and followed that up with a win in the Small Tire class during the No Prep Kings event at Bandimere Speedway.

NMRA racer Sondra Leslie put her Vortech Ti-Trim blower to good use in the NMRA Limited Street class; Leslie reset both ends of the class record in 2018 and after a 150-pound weight adjustment, she still ran an 8.57 at 158 mph at the NMRA All-Ford World Finals. Another NMRA racer, Dylan Neuenschwander, utilized his Vortech power to earn a number one qualifying spot at the NMRA All-Ford World Finals in the Ford Muscle class.

Dodge Challenger IRS record holder John Reed used a Vortech  V-7 YSi-B supercharger to set and then reset his own record this season. The first record was achieved at Cecil County Dragway during a license pass with an 8.23 at 160 mph run. Reed then went to Virginia Motorsports Park where he smashed his own record by over a tenth with an 8.13 at 169 mph pass, still using an IRS suspension.
