NMCA’s way cool Pro Stock class has a new player in town. Don Baskin, who is quickly becoming the Don Schumacher of the NMCA with multiple cars in various classes, took delivery of his brand spankin’ new 2010 Camaro yesterday and could make his debut as soon as the Kooks Custom Headers NMCA Nationals in Reading, PA on June 4-6.

Darren Breaud and the crew at B&B Race Cars have been working overtime to get Baskin’s new ride out the door, and once again, they’ve delivered a top-notch example of their handiwork. The crew got the engine installed in the car and the hood back from the paint shop and mounted on Thursday, and headed straight out to test at U.S. 43 Dragway near Lawrenceburg, TN. Baskin and team will test both today and tomorrow.

Baskin’s Camaro is one of the first 2010 models to hit the track, although a flood of them are soon to follow. It will receive its motivation from a Bischoff Racing Engines-built small block Chevrolet for the all-motor Pro Stock class, which will be backed by a Liberty five-speed transmission. It is painted in the Baskin team’s signature candy orange colors with black Camaro racing stripes. All opinions aside, this car will definitely be a head-turner when it rolls out of the trailer for the first time.
