The first thing that most people say about a dragster is that it has the same lines as every other one in the parking lot and there’s nothing special about them. But the team at Chrome-Worx Performance have taken that statement and shattered it into a million pieces with Louis and Joe Mohana’s powerful ProCharged A.R.C. Top Dragster.

The foundation was laid in 250-inch of round tubing in the form of a A.R.C. chassis, packed full of titanium hardware and ceramic bearings on all four corners. A true carbon fiber body was lowered over the frame and topped off with carbon fiber interior panels to keep the weight to a minimum. Mark Williams Enterprises supplied the full floater rear end, ultra-light 300M axles, and a dual brake package for the rear suspension and to slow down this lightweight hot rod.

APD Racing was called upon next for the horsepower and they brought a full chamber to the table, combining a big-block Chevrolet base powerplant with a huffing ProCharger to create a whopping 2,300 horsepower stuffed between the frame rails. Hughes Performance was then called upon for one of their XP4 Pro Mod transmissions and a 10-inch billet torque converter to reduce slippage and transfer as much power through the Goethe constant velocity driveshaft to the ground as possible.

Carbon fiber carries inside the driver’s compartment with a custom molded dash with a Racepak IQ3 dash piece, along with K&R Performance goodies to ensure accurate reaction times in Top Dragster competition.

MSD Ignition products provide the adequate spark needed to fire the powerful BBC and keep it running at top condition while a Racepak V300SD data recorder keeps track of every minute change. A K&R Performance switch panel, delay box and Racepak IQ3 digital dash piece finish off the carbon fiber dash in style.

Weld Racing‘s newest wheel on the market, Delta Series, is mounted up on the rear featuring Pro Mod hubs. Mickey Thompson slicks wrap the Deltas and are mounted up using the double beadlocks. The entire build was topped off by a splash of Todd’s Extreme Paint on just about every inch of the car, including the ProCharger, Extreme Velocity inlet tube, beadlocks, dash piece and more, creating what is truly a rolling piece of artwork from nose to tail. Be on the lookout for the Mohana Racing team coming to a track near you with this wicked piece of machinery!
