Shane And Russell Fisher Team Up With Racecraft To Run X275

In the words of Racecraft Inc.‘s Matt Mungall, “I like working with guys like Shane Fisher. He knows that there are things he doesn’t know and just came to us to help him run up front. He did things with this car that we’re not used to seeing a turbo car owner do with a car like this.”

What Shane and his dad Russell had the Racecraft team do, in the span of two short weeks, was completely revamp the suspension of the car and a whole lot more in the process. The Arkansas resident plans to race the car at Holly Springs in the X275 class for 2013, and to that end they have sought out the best in the business to help them achieve their goals.

The car was purchased from Broz Powell out of Texas, and in the interest of updating the car and making it work as well as possible, the Racecraft team was enlisted to install one of their complete front suspension packages, along with a pair of Santhuff double-adjustable struts on the front of the car. In the rear, Racecraft double-adjustable lower control arms, a wishbone, and a rear end-mounted anti-roll bar was installed in the car along with one of Racecraft’s trick lightweight rear end housings and a pair of Menscer Motorsports custom-valved shocks.

The entire rear of the car was cut out and rebuilt fresh by the Racecraft Inc. team. The car was also gutted and re-plumbed in the process of its winter update.

There are a number of other tricks employed in the car like ceramic wheel bearings and lightweight driveline parts that have the team champing at the bit to get the car out to the track. Legendary drag radial racer John Kolivas also has a hand in the operation, working with the team to ensure that the engine tune will be spot-on and they’ll be running at the front of the pack.

The car features an 85mm large-frame turbocharger atop a 400 cubic inch Brodix Neal-headed Panhandle Performance small-block Ford. Pro Torque and Neal Transmissions are also on board to help ensure the power gets to the ground efficiently. As Shane told us, This will be my first season running it in x275. I’m sure we will have a few kinks to work out but we have some of the best people working with the car so with some good luck, she should ride.” We wish you all the luck with this beautiful machine, Shane.
