The fine details of a build are what can take it from just functioning to flawless, and the right part selection will go a long way to make this happen. A vent canister is critical to making sure there are no fluid issues with parts like fuel tanks, axle housings, and transmissions. Chris Alston’s Chassisworks now has a Billet Aluminum Vent Canister with many great features that will add a high-end look to any car.
A vent canister isn’t something that gets a lot of attention in a build punch list, but Chris Alston’s Chassisworks approached the design of their billet unit like it would be the centerpiece. The first thing they addressed was the size of the entire packaging keeping the diameter small at just 2.5-inches and a total height of 5-inches. Inside the canister, there is a system of baffling to reduce the risk of contents inside spilling out. The canister also has a high volume capacity to prevent overflows if things go wrong.
To give end users more options, Chris Alston’s Chassisworks has made multiple mounting choices available for their Billet Aluminum Vent Canister with different brackets. The unit also has a remote-mount vent that can be utilized with an optional hose kit to provide relocation of the canister if space is an issue. The breather for the canister is a large -8 sized sintered bronze unit with a larger surface area that increases vent flow.
