Three-time NHRA Top Fuel world champion Antron Brown has been revealed as one of the three hosts of the new US-based Top Gear America television program on BBC America, which will premiere later this year with a planned eight hour-long episodes. The show, as fans of Top Gear have come to know, will feature everything from the latest and greatest new cars to racing across the highways and tracks around the world.
Brown will join famed Hollywood actor William Fichtner — most noted for his roles in Black Hawk Down, The Dark Knight, and Armageddon — along with Top Gear Magazine and TopGear.com’s Tom Ford, as hosts of Top Gear America.
“Antron is funny as hell, and an utter pro at what he does,” says Ford. “My fun fact about his day-job car is that the superchargers he uses take several hundred horsepower just to make them work. Mind you, his drag car has something like 12,000bhp. Also, I’m two months older than him, so technically I’m his boss.”
