You can always find some pretty intriguing drag racing items on eBay, from complete, ready-to-run cars to memorabilia and parts and pieces, but today, we’ve got something rather unique. Because it’s not exactly a whole car, and it’s not a piece of one either. It’s about 3/4 of Street Outlaw star “Daddy Dave” Comstock’s Chevy II, known as Goliath.

If you’ll recall, Comstock made waves in the racing community when he announced on the Discovery Channel that he was stepping out of the venerable Sonoma pickup to field his very own machine. Fans of the show flocked to the internet to get the latest on the build, and followed along as Dave debuted the sleek new nitrous-fed machine, wondering when they’d get to see a glimpse of it on television.

Unfortunately, with the new car smell still evident inside the Chevy II and before it could ever make a crack at the 405’s Top 10 List, Comstock was involved in a terrifying accident at the Amarillo Dragway that destroyed the car. The car barrel rolled numerous times in the melee, leaving Comstock with a concussion and other non-life threatening injuries.In the weeks since, Comstock has healed from his injuries and assessed the damage, making the ultimate decision to strip the car of any usable parts and pieces and auction off what remains as one hell of a collectors item for anyone with the pocket change to buy it. According to the ad, all of the proceeds from the auction will go towards Dave’s extensive medical bills and the construction of his next race car.

The car is, as you might expect, unusable as a race car, but would make an intriguing conversation piece. Or, as the ad puts it, an excellent lawn ornament or flower pot.

The bidding is currently up to $8,000, with a staggering 78 bids already since it was launched earlier today. With nine days remaining, there’s no telling what remains of the Chevy II might sell for.
