In the ongoing battle between Impact Racing and the SFI Foundation, Impact has released a new press release today. Currently there is at least one legal case filed and we suspect that there may be more in the upcoming future. The recent past has had SFI issuing press releases decertifying some of Impact Racing’s products, Impact Racing issuing press releases stating that their products meet SFI standards and a mutual Press release issued by both sides stating that Impact Racing Products manufactured on or before 2008 are not SFI certified, but those made in 2009 and later meet the SFI Standards.
If this month long battle has shown us one thing, it’s that: This is not over yet and we can expect more of the same from both sides.

IMPACT RACING OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE:
IMPACT PRESS RELEASE – APRIL 20st 2010
Be advised that SFI has made the decision that as of April 27th, 2010 our products manufactured in 2008 and previous years are decertified. Impact strongly disagrees with this decision. SFI’s decision does not apply to products purchased in 2009, 2010 and forward.
In light of the decertification, if any of our customers have to replace their products we can offer firesuits at a discounted price based on date of purchase, restraint systems at the trade-in price and free shipping.
