For the Hoosier Racing Tire Company here at IMIS, things are fairly status quo with many tires from their popular lineup that spans across virtually anything that could be defined as a race car on display in their booth. Hoosier produces everything from dirt World of Outlaws and Late model tires, to Top Alcohol Dragsters, on down to Jr. Dragsters. But one of the hottest tires in their catalog these days on the drag racing side of things is the DOT 275/60R15 Drag Radials that are used in X275 and other 275 Drag Radial series that are all the rage these days.
While these tires are given the DOT designation and are DOT-approved, they are designed for racing use only, and measure 28″ in diameter, with a 10″ tread width with an 11.5″ overall width. These are recommended for use on 15″ wheels ranging from 8-10″. With stock suspension cars already running in the 4.70’s to the eighth mile and the mid 7’s in the quarter on these tires, it certainly speaks volumes to their abilities.
