The new sportsman damper from PRW is a steel-constructed unit that’s ready to take a variety of high-horsepower applications. Rated to handle up to 8,000 RPM, these dampers are meant mainly for circle-track cars and come with a specially designed hub and ring to block radial movement of the outer ring. Details are below.

PRW is proud to announce their new line of sportsman dampers available for Chevy, Ford and with many other applications to follow. This includes the Specialty SBC lightweight damper, of a steel construction, targeted for circle track racing. Although the damper is not SFI-certified it is applicable for engines up to 8,000 RPM. Unlike most OEM dampers, the hub and ring are splined to prevent radial movement of the outer ring. These dampers are 30% stronger than OEM dampers made from gray iron. PRW Sportsman dampers are available in a black epoxy finish.
