Rig Of The Month: Flying A Motorsports 32′ Stacker Race Trailer

As the official trailer/motorcoach dealer of Dragzine, Flying A Motorsports’ extensive lineup of new and used motorhomes and toterhomes, race car trailers, stacker trailers, car haulers, and cargo trailers will be highlighted here in a monthly feature known as the Rig Of The Month.

This month’s rig is a top of the line 32-foot long stacker trailer manufactured by InTech Trailers in 2017. This previously-owned stacker boasting low miles is an all-aluminum bumper-pull style unit.

This trailer was factory constructed with a 23-foot long “dragster lift” rated at 4,000 lbs. lift capacity.”We really shouldn’t call them dragster lifts anymore,” says Alan Cape, President of Flying A Motorsports. “With the overall length of Top Sportsman and Pro Modified Doorslammers, those drivers like the longer length lifts as well.”

The InTech 32-foot long stacker trailer features triple axles with aluminum wheels. The screwless aluminum exterior is constructed with .050-inch thick aluminum skin.

The basic building blocks of this rig include an aluminum tube frame with an aluminum extruded floor covered with black “coin pattern” rubber flooring. This triple-axle trailer features 7,000 lb. Dexter torsion axles, all equipped with brakes. On the top side, a one-piece aluminum roof is the safest bet against future leaks.

“This trailer has a Bard Air Conditioner unit feeding cool air to both decks,” Cape describes. “It has a 50-amp electrical service with a heavy 25-foot shore cord feeding multiple 15-amp receptacles around the trailer. A built-in Pol-Air compressor with air line connections are located throughout the trailer. Both electricity and air lines are readily accessed from the outside of the trailer.”

Among all the hardcore racing provisions, you can also enjoy the AM/FM/CD stereo system with interior and exterior speakers.

InTech aluminum cabinetry is extensive throughout the trailer. The L-shaped workbench area has two seven-drawer toolboxes and nine upper and lower cabinets. Aluminum cabinets continue on the upper floor, right above the work area.

Above the fender wells on the trailer interior are tall wall storage cabinets. On the facing fenderwell, a long 10-jug fuel storage rack spans the length of the triple-axle fenderwell.

Spare tire storage lines the interior walls. A rack system stores the Arrow awning within the upper interior wall, and a custom aluminum ladder is stored for use while raising and lowering the awning system. All of these features clear the dragster lift while in motion.

“The outdoor pit lights on this trailer are Whelen Engineering LED Ambulance emergency scene light fixtures,” Cape tells us. “These are great to light up your pit area with far less power draw than older light fixture technology.”

The interior of the trailer is equipped with LED ceiling lights.

The second story features 53-inches of height clearance between the lift floor and the ceiling. The front of the second story area has more aluminum cabinets, the air compressor and drag slick wall mounts.

There is plenty of room for the team to enter and exit the trailer during fast-paced pit thrashes. A 60-inch wide, double-side door also has a sliding glass door to keep temperature controlled air inside the trailer from escaping.

Cape says, “The trailer is also equipped with an engine changer beam when pit work gets real serious.”
