James “Doc” Love from Discovery Channel’s Street Outlaws is recuperating in an Ohio hospital after having a heart attack. Love was in Ohio to participate in the Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings event at Summit Motorsports Park when he fell ill.
This No Prep Kings tour has been pretty rough for Love as he has experienced issues with his trailer on two different occasions. The more serious of the two incidents had his smart car come loose while towing and damaged the Street Beast.
After making the switch to the new big cubic-inch nitrous engine Love has been struggling and hoped to make everything come together with the new combination at the Ohio event. Even with these problems, Love has soldiered on so he can put on a great show for the fans and sign autographs for hours like he’s known to do.
From Love’s Facebook Page:
Well, definitely not how I wanted to spend my weekend in Ohio. One heart attack, surgery, and three big stints. Thanks to some great doctors and my stubborn ass, I am doing well. Sorry to all my fans who wanted to see me race. If they release me tomorrow, I will come to the track and say hi.
Thankfully it sounds like Love will be okay and we here at Dragzine wish him a speedy recovery.
