With word getting out of the first 10-second pass with the 2011 5.0 GT Mustang, the heat is definitely on for the Camaro guys. Now, don’t get me wrong, there’s TONS of Camaros running 11-, 10- and even 9-second passes and even more spitting out ridiculous horsepower numbers on chassis dynos (thanks majorly to aftermarket superchargers like Vortech). But, with Mustang closing in rather quickly, its always good to see more and more 10-second-and-faster Camaros taking to the track.

Jannetty Racing out of Waterbury, Connecticut, knows quite a bit about adding boost to American muscle cars. Their 20-year pedigree of supercharged mayhem is quite noteworthy and provides them quite a bit of fame whenever they roll into the waterbox. Recently, they’ve been hard at work with a ’10 Camaro Super Sport, and Ted Jannetty and his staff have quite a bit to be proud of.
When vehicle owner Don Rainey brought his SS to Jannetty, he was looking for some serious power. Starting with the most important piece of the puzzle, a Vortech V-7 YSi-Trim supercharger, Jannetty fabricated a custom dual-bypass setup for it, adding American Racing 2-inch Headers, a Jannetty Racing Cam Package, a Cooling Mist methanol-injection system, a Hurst shifter, a custom ECU tune, and 16-inch Bogart wheels with Hoosier Tires to launch the Camaro as hard as possible.
Producing an impressive 735 horsepower at the rear wheels at 10psi, the LS3-powered Camaro was ready for the track. Not surprisingly (at least to the Jannetty guys), the Camaro clicked off an awesome 10.61-second pass at 130.19mph.
