PRI 2019: Intercomp Is Here To Help Get Your Race Car Balanced

Intercomp‘s Aaron Van Heel gives us all the details about weighing your race car to get it perfectly balanced. We’re not talking about yoga, zen, or any spiritual thing like that. We’re talking corner and side weights to help make badass straightaway speed.

After many years of research, and working with more than 25 racing organizations, the company is well versed in getting your car ready for the track. Using Intercomp’s scales and shock dynos, there is no track too tough to tame.

At this year’s PRI tradeshow, Van Heel gave us the lowdown on Intercomp’s RFX wireless scales. With most dirt track racers working on a thin budget, the question always boils down to how much is gained by the dollars you spend. Here’s the good news; This popular system is a great value for the money and features Bluetooth connectivity – so its affordable and saves time.

The RFX Wireless scale system comes in several different packages, from the professional unit (Microflex), to the mainstream SW888, SW777, and SW650 scale systems, all the way to the budget-friendly SW787 scale system.

All of these kits have the fully integrated RFX wireless weighing technology that is encrypted to ensure secure wifeless communication. The unit stores 100 chassis setups for reference. In many cases, this can act as a track logbook for crew chiefs.

There is a baseline setup recall so you can instantly compare your changes to the baseline and a center of gravity calculation. The display can be configured by the user for individual preferences. The unit uses AA batteries that can last up to 400 hours in each pad.

What’s more, the company has a myriad of tools available to help keep your car glued to the track. Check out the video to find out more.
