Racers will search for any advantage they can find that will improve the performance of their racing program. FTI Performance has expanded the ability of a racer to tune their torque converter with the Gen 3 XPM billet bolt together torque converter.
Bolt together torque converters aren’t anything new, but FTI has taken things a step further by making all of the Gen 3 XPM’s parts interchangeable. FTI’s approach with the Gen 3 XPM torque converter was to allow users to adjust and tune every aspect of the torque converter through its parts various parts.
Troy Williams from FTI talks about how the Gen 3 XPM torque converter can help any racer get the most performance possible out of their vehicle.
“This torque converter really gives a racer more latitude when it comes to the tuning side of a converter. You can make adjustments based on the amount of boost or nitrous you’ll be running and the conditions you’ll be racing in. A bracket racer can benefit from this converter not only through its adjustability, but being able to service the converter themselves without sending it to us. The Gen 3 XPM gives a racer the ability to have access to multiple torque converts at one time.”
FTI offers the Gen 3 XPM with a front cover that fits all major flex plate bolt patterns. Sprag and spragless combinations are available for the Gen 3 XPM torque converter, along with several different turbine spline options.
