ProCharger racers enjoyed a banner weekend as the “Street Outlaws No Prep Kings” series visited historic Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky, sweeping the final rounds in both Friday’s Great 8 and Saturday’s invitational, and gracing the cars of seven of the eight semifinalists in all over the two days of racing.

“Daddy Dave” Comstock, driving his gorgeous Audi S5, powered to his first career “No Prep Kings” invitational victory on Saturday evening, defeating newcomer Nate Sayler in a titanic final round battle. The two outlasted semifinal bouts with two other ProCharger cars — Comstock defeating Scott Taylor, and Sayler advancing past Damon Merchant. Each of the four had ousted either a screw supercharger or a single-turbocharger combination in the quarterfinals.

On Friday evening, Larry “Axman” Roach drove Stephen Brindle’s ProCharger-boosted “Game Changer” Ford Mustang to the Great 8 title, defeating teammate Kayla Morton in the finale. Giuseppe Gentile, who switched combinations in his Bad Attitude Racing Nova to a ProCharger in the offseason, was also a semifinalist. With his win, Roach leads the Great 8 standings going into the New Hampshire event.

Merchant for his part, appeared in the previous two invitational finals, at Virginia and Minnesota, and holds a slim lead in the individual points. Morton and Taylor squared off in the season-opening final round in Ohio. All told, six of the eight potential invitational final-round spots this season have been secured by ProCharger cars.

Additionally, Paige Coughlin earned his first career “Future Street Outlaws” win Saturday night, with a defeat of another ProCharger car, that of Clay Cole, in the finale.
