Starters require a lot of power so they can properly perform and turn over a high compression engine. Meziere has made wiring up this relay into your electrical system very simple. The relay uses the main cable that’s already connected to your starter for power. The way Meziere designed this system to work, the activation wire no longer has to carry the full load of the starter solenoid. The only load it will see is the milli-amp load that comes from the relay. Since this is a solid state relay, it’s going to last longer and be more robust as well.
