It doesn’t matter what level of racing you participate in; safety gear is important. Racetech is known for its high-quality racing seats, and it has stepped up to offer an NHRA contingency program to racers who use its products. This new program has over $30,000 available to the winner and runner-up racers at NHRA events.
Racetech and the NHRA both have a dedication to racer safety, so it made sense for the company to get involved with a contingency program. For Racetech, this program gives the company an opportunity to not only increase its support of racers, but to also help push a message of safety.
The Racetech contingency program was launched at the 2025 American Rebel Light NHRA 4-Wide Nationals. For a racer to be eligible, they need to use a Racetech product and have the official Racetech decal on each side of their race car. Here are the classes that can score some of the contingency money:
- Stock Eliminator
- Super Stock
- Super Gas
- Super Street
- Top Sportsman
- Factory Stock Showdown (including OEM-equipped Drag Pak and Cobra Jet)
- Factory X
- Pro Mod
Racetech’s Brian Oleshak explains what inspired them to get involved with the NHRA and create this contingency program.
“Our commitment to the motorsports community as a whole is to get racers home safe. In drag racing, cars are running more power and hitting lower ETs than ever, making racer safety an ever-increasing priority. With three decades of innovation behind our composite and carbon fiber seats, Racetech is in a unique position to change the game for drag racers and offer a new level of safety and comfort proven to protect drivers in extreme crash scenarios.”
