BendPak’s New Hybrid Wheel Balancer Handles Cars and Big Rigs

Any shop owner knows that floor space is money. Owning two separate wheel balancers, one for cars and one for heavy trucks, is a costly and inefficient setup for high-volume tire shops and busy repair garages alike.

The Ranger Division of BendPak just released its new RB30T, a hybrid wheel balancer that does the job of both, designed to be the only balancer a mixed-fleet shop will ever need.

Ranger RB30T Wheel Balancer

The new RB30T hybrid wheel balancer from Ranger Division of BendPak was engineered to take on the biggest, heaviest truck and bus wheel assemblies without sacrificing the precision needed to balance passenger vehicle wheels. Operators move easily between light-duty and heavy-duty applications with the push of a button. Whether working with buses, semi-trucks, OTR applications, light-duty trucks or cars, the RB30T delivers the power and accuracy needed to balance a wide range of wheels quickly and without guesswork.

The key to the RB30T is its incredible versatility. An operator can seamlessly switch between a light-duty passenger car mode and a heavy-duty truck mode with a single button press, no recalibration needed. It has the muscle for the big jobs, handling wheels that weigh up to 330 pounds with tire diameters of nearly 50 inches.

To make those big jobs safer, the RB30T has an integrated pneumatic wheel lift that hoists the heavy assemblies into place, saving the technician’s back. Cycle times are equally impressive, just seven seconds for car wheels, and around 20 seconds for full truck assemblies.

Aside from its brute strength, the balancer also features smart technology. It uses Ranger’s Drive-Check system, which has a 64-bit microprocessor and a full suite of advanced quartz piezoelectric sensors that measure forces across longitudinal, transverse, and shear axes.

Ranger RB30T Wheel Balancer in Use

The new RB30T hybrid wheel balancer from Ranger Division of BendPak features an integrated pneumatic wheel lift to take on the heavy lifting, easily moving wheels weighing up to 330 lbs. into position. By taking the load off operators’ backs, it improves ergonomics and reduces the risk of injuries.

This system simulates real-world road conditions to find even the subtlest vibrations before they become a problem for the customer. Once it detects an imbalance, the machine tells the technician exactly where to put the weights, taking all the guesswork out of the process.

The Ranger RB30T wheel balancer is a smart piece of equipment for any modern repair garage. Ranger builds the machine tough, using a rugged drive belt and a three-phase motor for consistent operation under extreme loads.

Additionally, the balancer includes a full commercial mounting kit, so shops have all the necessary cones and adapters to get started right away. It effectively combines the work of two specialized machines into one, saving valuable floor space and letting technicians service a much wider range of vehicles quickly and accurately.
