“Dr. Ford” Jim Plimpton has a new Blue Oval creation headed for the Radial Redemption at South Georgia Motorsports Park next weekend, and he, along with the guys at 10wideracing.com were kind enough to share a little clip of this sleeping monster of a Fairmont (known as the “Fearmont”) doing its thing on the chassis dyno in preparation for the big race.

What you see between the fenders is an A460 block with a set of Trick Flow heads to match, along with an A460 intake, titanium valves, an UltraDyne camshaft, Crower lifters, crank and rods, Diamond Pistons, and several other ingredients all topped by a C&S 1400cfm carburetor. Plimpton refers to all of this as some “toys in the attic” that he screwed together to put the machine together for his son, Jimmy, to drive. Those toys in attic sound pretty stout, and with a little nitrous added to the equation in Georgia, the Fearmont just might hurt some feelings. Check below for a full rundown of specifications of the car per Plimpton.
