A lot of our gearhead audience has an addiction to anything related to racing, regardless of size or scale, so when we discovered this insanely cool radio controlled Challenger, we just had to share it! Besides the intricately-detailed paint job and cool wheel and tire combo, this little rocket is hiding one of the more unique tricks we’ve ever seen on a drag car of the 1/5th scale variety.
Just over a minute and a half into the clip, we’re introduced to the awesome concept of radio controlled line locks. This Dodge-bodied car actually does a standing, front-wheels-locked burnout for quite a while, before peeling off into some not-so-drag car-like spins and slides. It’s really an awesome sight to see a car that small with that kind of intricacy, all bundled in a very cool package!
Beyond the line lock and cool paint job, the car also features a cool set of retro-style wheels – bigs in the back and skinnies out front ,of course – and an insanely detailed mock engine sticking through the hood. Plus there is an accurate single-wheel wheelie bar out back to keep the nose down! The mini hotrod is powered by a nitro-burning, 28.5cc engine that actually produces a whopping eight horsepower at 20,000 rpm.
