This Sleek ASAG Pontiac GTO Belts Out 2,000+ HP!

Pontiac GTO

You never know what you might find for sale online, but while perusing the classifieds on Facebook, we came across Stuart Allan’s sick 2006 Pontiac GTO.

Covered in Lamborghini’s Balloon White (a super cool matte white finish), the largely stock-appearing goat sits atop a full tube-chassis build by Nathan Shaw at One Guys Garage. The 25.3-cert chromoly chassis utilizes stock front framerails, but that’s about it.

Surely the headline got your attention, and there’s no doubt that there is a formidable powertrain beneath the slick exterior. It begins with a 540 cubic-inch, Brodix-based big-block Chevy stuffed with a Callies Ultra Billet crankshaft, MGP connecting rods, CP pistons and it’s topped with Brodix 383 Headhunter cylinder heads. Top Fuel-style fire hoops to keep the combustion in the cylinders and pressurizing those cylinders is a pair of Precision Turbo & Engine 91mm turbochargers, with a Holley Dominator setup controlling the Siemens fuel injectors and ignition.

Backing the big-block is a Reid-cased, Turbo 400 transmission and a Circle D torque converter, and it sends the power back to a CM 9-inch rearend with a Strange Ultra Case third-member.

The GTO rolls on Weld wheels — 15×4 up front and 15×14 out back — with DOT-spec M&H tires out back, and a huge three-core radiator keeps the engine chill for drag-and-drive style events. Strange Engineering was tapped for the four-wheel disc brake setup, and the car was fitted with two DJ Coldfire fire suppression systems.

On the inside, you’ll find “comfy” leather covered seats and the original power windows for convenience. Shaw noted that the build was originally geared towards DOT and all-steel, all-glass types of classes, but that the owner has since decided to move on from this level of racing.

And it should also be noted that if the 2,000 horsepower on E85 is not enough, the combination is capable of 3,000 on methanol. All we need now is someone to make a deal with the owner, who is asking $140,000 for the Pontiac GTO, so we can see what this beast will do on track!
