The team at Circle D Specialities has invested in engineering and technologies designed to benefit it both existing and new products well into the future, through the use of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software and equipment.
Circle D produces aftermarket performance converters for GM, Ford, and Dodge race and street vehicles. Its new CFD software will allow engineers to design fresh new stators. Based on the vehicle and its needs to properly accelerate it down the dragstrip. These new designs will work their way into converter across the range, for power levels from 500 horsepower to 2,500.
“This is the same technology OE manufacturers use to design new converters based on the vehicle specifications. We are using the CFD software in a similar manner, but instead of fuel economy, we’re aiming to make the cars faster. We plan to use the technology to improve every converter we sell.”
These new stator designs will be engineering and tested throughout 2021, and will begin to roll out to racers and high-performance enthusiasts later in the year.
