Displaying their fresh from the design table throttle stop system, Auto Meter‘s stepper throttle stop is designed for the bracket and index racers that want the next generation of drag race launch and throttle stop technology. 

“It’s really the biggest unfair advantage out there,” says Auto Meter’s Joseph Mills. “We worked on this project a long time to get it absolutely perfect.”

Carrying the Dedenbear name, Auto Meter’s throttle stop kit is designated the Dedenbear STS system.

The throttle system base plate is available in the TS1 with electric solenoid for Holley and Demon carburetors or the TS6 disc throttle stops for Holley Dominators and King Demon carbs.

The delay boxes and controllers driven through the command center allows for two separate 4-stage timers, adjustable to the thousandths of a second for controlling throttle stops, nitrous oxide, timed shifts or retards. A separate “starting line control” with an adjustable release time is added to bring your throttle up just before launch.

“It’s NHRA legal, has the consistency of an electric throttle stop with the adjustability of an air stop,” says Mills.

In addition to the 8-stage movement, the throttle can be stopped at any programmable position, not just fully opened or fully closed. 

“The biggest deal with this new system is the unmatched repeatability by digital control of the timing, position and rate,” Mills added, “Which is perfect for throttle stop classes.”
