PRI 2012: Davis And Holley Team Up For New Traction Control Lineup

The team at Davis Technologies has been at the forefront of the traction control market for years, first dominating the dirt track arena before adapting the technology to the drag racing world. While Davis is constantly improving their technology to provide quicker-reacting and more featured traction control units and other devices, the other half of the company coin is delivering systems that integrate efficiently with existing components in a race car.

Here at PRI, Davis Technologies has revealed another great product that embodies this integration aspect, designed for use with the popular Holley EFI vehicle management systems.

“We’ve worked together with the people at Holley to produce this system that brings traction control to the world at an affordable level,” explained Shannon Davis.

Davis’ Holley EFI Series units have been designed specifically to work with Holley’s HP and Dominator EFI systems, combines one of the best traction control systems in the industry with what is likewise one of the best fuel management systems on the market, creating a product that seamlessly integrates with the existing Holley setup.

Davis is offering their EFI-TC1 (priced at $599), which is non-self-learning, but features real time corrections, a single level output, is USB upgradeable, and very quick in its operation. The higher end EFI-TC2 is a self learning unit, with a dual mode operation, real time corrections on the track, and sports advanced adjustability that Davis explains is the highlight to this brand new unit. Both systems connect to the EMS, allowing for advanced tuning via the Holley software to dial-in the traction through the fuel and timing.
