Moroso’s LED-lit rocker-switch panels have become a staple for race car builders. Longtime marketing manager, Thor Schroeder, walked us through the features and benefits of the newest switch panels from the high-performance parts manufacturer.
“These new switch panels with USB ports are perfect for racers that are using Go-Pros or other cameras in their cars,” said Schroeder. “This represents an efficient solution to powering these devices in a clean and convenient connection.”
The switch panels are typical of what Moroso has produced in the past, featuring high-tech LED-lit rocker-style switches that are dust and weather resistant. Schroeder points out the size of the rocker switches. “These are built with a wide profile face for use when wearing racing gloves.”
Most of Moroso’s rocker-switch panels use switches that are single pole, single-throw switches, rated at 20 amps. There are a couple of different combinations available, with different colored rocker switches. Part #74195 switch panel has three, orange indicator switches, one, blue indicator switch, a momentary start switch with a red cover, and one dual USB charging port with dust cover.
Part #74194 switch panel offers four, orange indicator rocker switches, one, blue rocker, and a momentary start switch with a red cover, and one dual USB charging port with dust cover. These panels are all flat-surface mounted with a slim overall design to fit any dash panel.
Schroeder says the USB ports are great for action cameras or “smart phones with timer apps. You can even call your wife from the track if you want.”
