The Performance Racing Industry (PRI) organization was created in 1986 to serve the motorsports industry. Each year, gearheads from all walks of the high-performance life converge on Indianapolis, Indiana so they can attend the PRI show. Michael Good is the freshly minted president of the PRI organization, and we took a walk with him at the PRI show to learn more about him, and PRI.
If you were going to create the ideal individual to run PRI, Michael Good would fit the bill perfectly. Good is a certified car nut who came to PRI from Dynamat, Inc. When Good isn’t running things at PRI, he enjoys going to racing events. Good also serves on the boards of Indianapolis Cars & Coffee and Carmel Artomobilia.
We got the chance to take a walk around the PRI show with Good and pick his brain about what direction he thinks the high-performance industry needs to go. Good also gave us his thoughts about how the PRI show will need to change to match the evolving marketplace the motorsports industry currently operates in.
As we walked with Good, it became very apparent that he truly loves the motorsports industry and all kinds of high-performance vehicles. There were several occasions where we just stopped mid-conversation to admire different vehicles on the tradeshow floor. Everything from a wicked Fox Body Mustang to a gnarly pulling tractor, Good was ready to check out anything that looked rad. Its reassuring to know that a real gearhead is running PRI and is ready to push the industry forward.
