Let’s face it, no racer out there honestly enjoys wearing safety equipment. It’s hot, it’s heavy, and more often than not, uncomfortable, as well. But it’s a necessary evil to the dangerous, high-speed nature of motorsports, and one of the of the most commonly undesirable pieces of equipment are driving shoes. In forms of racing where the shoes are worn for lengthy periods of time, constantly pressing and depressing the pedal where the ankle is pivoting back and forth, the back of the ankle can become a source of wear and pain by the time the checkered flag flies. Movement can also be very restricted with many designs.
To that end, G-Force Racing Gear has released their new line of Pro Series Racing Shoes, aimed at both function and comfort, while looking great in the process. These new SFI-approved shoes feature both a flame retardant interior and exterior, with a newly-designed low profile beveled sole. Outside, you’ll find a rockaway heel design for increased function when rocking the rear tip of the shoe on the pedals.
The mid-top design with a low cut back offers much more flexibility in the foot and specifically the ankle region, also increasing the overall comfort of the shoe on the back of the ankle as it goes through the motions of working the pedals. These new shoes are available in red, blue, and black colors, all with a black carbon fiber insert on the side. Finally a racing shoe that can be comfortable to wear!
