SEMA 2016: QA1 Expands Its Line Of Suspension Kits And Components

QA1SEMA2016-02Providing suspension components for the automotive aftermarket means making them better than what the factory provided car owners, and QA1 is one of those companies that makes better parts for people who want to go faster.

It’s no secret that to make a car faster, it also has to be able to handle better, too, and that’s where QA1 has made car owners a little more confident. Whether you’re drag racing, road racing, or even just driving a little more spirited, the list of new products for American musclecars continues to grow with QA1.

Kaitlyn Nelson, Marketing Manager with QA1, told us, “Whenever we add another vehicle for our suspension kits, it’s another three pages in our catalog, so it keeps growing every year.” These suspension kits come in three stages, and all parts are available individually, as well, so that means lots of new applications.

At SEMA this year, we got to see how that line of suspension components is increasing, including a new tubular K-member for Ford Mustangs that not only increases room for headers and oil pans, but its unique engine mounting system allows for varying engine designs without having to replace the K-member.

The new Coilover Shock kit allows multiple adjustments to the ride height, and includes an upper crossbar that measures 40-inches long at 1-5/8-inch diameter. Also new at SEMA this year, extended stud-length ball joints that allow for roll center adjustments on lowered cars, and new suspension kits for 1973-1977 Chevelle Laguna models.

Not resting on its laurels, QA1 came back this year with a new, SFI approved REV Series carbon fiber driveshaft in a smaller diameter, just 2.25 inches, as well as application specific driveshafts for 1979-2016 Ford Mustangs, as a direct bolt in unit.

The catalog for these new and all existing QA1 products is free, and can be found on the QA1 website, where you’ll be able to set your car up and get assistance from the suspension specialists.
