The next time you see Al Arrington’s Plum Crazy Challenger heading for the big end, there will be a new driver behind the wheel. Arrington Performance recently announced that Tiff Daniels has joined the team starting this month.

More than just a quick stick, the 26 year old, Davidson, NC, resident is also a mechanical engineer who graduated Magna Cum Laude from UNC Charlotte. Her expectations of herself are equally high when it comes to racing.

With nine years of racing experience, Daniels has competed in several NASCAR divisions, as well as running in Legend cars, desert racing and the ASA Transcontinental Series.

Arrington Engines is a long-established builder, supplying cars for professional NASCAR and NHRA race teams. With customers like Penske, Petty, and Ganassi, it wasn’t long before word of Arrington’s stroked HEMI hit the streets.

Modern version of those engines find themselves in contemporary Chrysler cars these days, courtesy of Arrington’s build facilties, and theresults are spectacular.

A recent project put an Arrington Performance Aluminum Gen III 449 HEMI motor into a streetable Dodge Charger, along with some driveline upgrades.

The owner proceeded to drive 500 miles to  the track and set a world record of 10.38 seconds for an all-motor, full weight LX competitor. We wonder what Tiff Daniels might have done with that Charger.

With a history reaching back to NASCAR racing in the 1980’s, there’s a lot of Mopar muscle experience inside Arrington’s shop doors.
