On this episode of Dragzine’s Track Life, we take a look at one of the biggest races of the year, the Haltech World Cup Finals: Import vs Domestic. This event brings racers and fans from all over the world to Maryland International Raceway each fall to see who really is the best of the best. There’s no shortage of amazing cars at the World Cup finals.
This year was the 25th anniversary of the WCF and there were numerous records set. Two of the biggest runs were made on a set of Mickey Thompson radial tires. Don Burton became the first person to record a five-second pass on a 275 radial tire in the quarter-mile at the WCF. Not to be outdone, Manny Buginga reset the overall radial tire quarter-mile record twice during the event. You can hear both of those drivers talk about their records right here.
Jason Miller and his brother Chris work hard with their team at Miller Brothers Productions to put on the WCF each year. If the Haltech World Cup Finals: Import vs Domestic isn’t on your bucket list of races to attend, it needs to be.
