Event Preview: Project X Promotions Winter Meltdown 6 No-Prep Shootout

Project X Promotions’ Winter Meltdown 6 No-Prep Shootout moves to Pine Valley Raceway in Lufkin, Texas, for its 2021 running over the weekend of December 3-4, and plenty of the biggest names in no-prep racing will be on the property to try and lay claim to the prize money and paychecks!

With two back-to-back days of wild, 1/8-mile no-prep action promising to make history, the event also marks the finale of the Tour De Texas No Prep Championship for Big and Small Tire racers.

From purpose-built machines to daily drivers and everything in between, the clocks will be off for all classes (except the index races and junior dragsters) with only one water burnout per car and a Pro .400 tree with a true win light for all pairings.

The Big Tire and Small Tire Cash Days, Grudge Racing, plus King of the Tailgate, Daily Driver Shootout, and Weekend Warrior Shootout on Friday provide ample time to prepare on Friday for the main event of both the Big Tire and Small Tire classes gunning for $10,000 in cash on Saturday.

Big money payouts, high-horsepower cars, celebrity status drivers, and more all combine to make PXP’s Winter Meltdown 6 the biggest year-end no-prep party in Texas that simply can’t be missed.
