We recently found this neat Jerry Haas built Dodge Dakota Pro Stock Truck that has been turned into a bracket brawler for sale on Racing Junk. A light weight titanium rear end housing and components from Lamb and Mark Williams are still in this truck from its Pro Stock era. It was raced by the famed Nickens Brothers and was factory backed by Dodge and still features the “Mopar Parts” logos adorn both doors of this beautiful machine.
After NHRA stop running the Pro Stock Truck class on the professional level, the truck was sold, as were most of the trucks that competed. The majority of them were made into bracket cars. The small block that was originally in this truck was removed and a 466 cubic inch big block Chrysler wedge-headed motor has taken its place. The cluchless 5 speed is gone in favor of the popular two-speed Powerglide. The engine gets air through a UNI filter and into a Ron’s “Flying Toilet” throttle body. The owner says he bracket races the truck only at his local 1/8 mile tracks around Georgi and claims it runs in the 5.50 range.
