Get Your Tickets Now To The 28th Annual California Hot Rod Reunion

The 28th annual California Hot Rod Reunion (CHRR) is a mere three weeks away, and if you haven’t gotten your tickets to what is arguably the greatest nostalgia drag racing event in the world, then now is the time.

Hosted by the NHRA Motorports Museum and presented by the Automobile Club of Southern California, the CHRR brings together the past and the present, featuring 1/4-mile drag racing, rods and customs, and all the flavor of the sport’s golden age at a truly timeless racing venue.

Nostalgia Top Fuel dragsters, Funny Cars, and throngs of other old-school drag racing machinery are set to take to the Auto Club Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield, California over the weekend of October 25-27. Along with the on-track action in 14 different eliminators, the reunion will feature racing legends, the famous Cacklefest, a host of vintage vehicles and race cars, a wide range of speed parts in the swap meet, historic memorabilia, and numerous vendors exhibiting on the midway.

Tickets are on sale now, which may be purchased at the gate, by clicking here, or calling (800) 884-NHRA.

For the first time in 2019, reserved trackside motorhome parking is being made available, but space is limited. Spots may be reserved by visiting the link or calling the phone number located above.

For racers wishing to compete or participate as a cackle entry, or to display in the swap meet or midway, online registration (also new this year) is open. For those who prefer to enter via mail, email, or fax, forms may be downloaded here.

The drag racing action will kick off on Friday, October 25 with qualifying and exhibitions runs, which will continue through Saturday evening, bookended by the opening round of Top Fuel and Funny Car and the crowd-favorite Cacklefest. On Sunday, California Hot Rod Reunion champions will be crowned as final eliminations commence.

All proceeds from the California Hot Rod Reunion benefit the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum.
