Winning a drag race is a lot like a postal worker delivering a letter. In the end, there’s one way to do it right and about a million ways to do it wrong. Apparently in the spirit of testing home grown theories like this, the videos below can add much to the accumulated wisdom of racers everywhere.
Some of the points you might want to tuck away for future reference are:
1 – Choose your venue wisely. Good lane width and a decent runoff area are your friends.
2 – If you want to back out of a match, don’t wait until the green light.
3 – “Stoppies” are for motorcycle riders. Do not attempt this at home.
4 – Time spent looking at the sky only adds to your E.T. Use wheelie bars when necessary.
5 – More power is good… up to a point, while sharing lanes at the track is frowned on.
Doubtless, there are many more lessons to be learned and a certain group of drivers will do their best to discover each and every one of them. Again and again…
