AEM Performance Electronics now offers a “Drag Race” file for the AQ-1 Data Logger simply with virtually no setup and no need to calibrate any sensors. Download the “Drag Race” pre-defined template based on feedback from NMRA and NMCA racers.
Official Release:
AEM has created a “Drag Race” set up file for its AQ-1 Data Logger that allows users to quickly begin using their AQ-1 with virtually no setup required (AQ-1 PN: 30-2500, 96″ AQ-1 Harness PN: 30-2906-96). By installing pressure, temperature and other sensors for popularly logged parameters into pre-determined inputs, the “Drag Race” set up software allows you to start logging right away with no need to calibrate any sensors. A downloadable AEMdata analysis “Drag Race” template includes these channels in a pre-defined template so you can start viewing view data right away.
LOGGED CHANNELS
Based on feedback from racers in NMRA and NMCA, AEM developed the “Drag Race” set up with the following pre-determined channels:
Input | Â Name | Unit | Sensor |
Analog 1 | Water Temp | Deg F | 0-2013, 1/8″ NPT |
Analog 2 | A/F Driver | AFR (Gasoline) | 30-2310, AEM Inline UEGO Controller |
Analog 3 | A/F Passenger | AFR (Gasoline) | 30-2310, AEM Inline UEGO Controller |
Analog 4 | Air Inlet Temp | Deg F | 30-2014, 1/8″ NPT |
Analog/Freq 5 | Fuel Pressure | PSI (Gauge) | 30-2130-150, 150 PSI Stainless Steel Sensor |
Analog/Freq 6 | Oil Pressure | PSI (Gauge) | 30-2130-150, 150 PSI Stainless Steel Sensor |
Analog/Freq 7 | Driveshaft Speed* | RPM | Edelbrock Part #91187, (1.875″ ID), 91188 (2.187″ ID) |
Analog/Freq 8 | Engine RPM | RPM | None Required, picked up from ECU or Ignition System |
Digital 1 | Ex: “Logger On/Off” | On or Off | None Required, picked up from Ground Switch |
Digital 2 | Ex: “Nitrous On” | On or Off | None Required, picked up from Ground Side of Nitrous Switch |
Digital 3 | EX: “Clutch Switch On” | On or Off | None Required, picked up from Ground Side of Clutch Switch |
Battery Volts | Battery Voltage | DC Volts | None Required – internal from AQ-1 |
Accelerometer | 3-Axis G-Load | G-Load | None Required – internal from AQ-1 |
*Can be configured for other driveshaft speed sensors, but will require calibration.
All input channels remain custom configurable, so any changes you may want to make in the future can be accommodated.
FAST DATA ACCESS WITH AEMDATA “DRAG RACE” TEMPLATE
AEMdata’s “Drag Race” template allows users who set up their AQ-1 using the “Drag Race” Firmware to immediately view their logged data without the need to build a template. AEMdata software remains fully configurable though, so any changes to logged parameters in the future can be viewed in AEMdata by customizing this template.
With AEMdata’s new video encoding feature, racers can import virtually any 3rd party video file type into the software and create data overlays using logged data, allowing them to visualize their data more by connecting it with the driver experience. Users can add logos, graphics and create custom gauges for video overlays, and share their videos with sponsors and through social media channels.
