Anyone who works on new trucks knows they keep getting bigger. Trying to carefully guide a modern pickup with wide fenders and tow mirrors onto a standard lift can be a stressful, inch-by-inch process. BendPak saw this common headache in shops and home garages and built a direct answer: the new HD-9EWT four-post lift, a model specifically engineered to handle the size of today’s vehicles.Designed as a wider alternative to their standard-width lifts, the HD-9EWT provides over 93 inches of drive-thru clearance, giving you plenty of breathing room so you’re not constantly checking your mirrors. That extra space extends upward, too. With a substantial 82-inch rise, the lift can hoist a vehicle up to a maximum height of 87 inches. This gives even tall mechanics enough space to stand up and work comfortably underneath, or to easily park another high-clearance truck below for storage.
“This new design is all about operator safety and comfort,” says Jeff Kritzer, BendPak’s president and CEO. “The lift’s extra width prevents damage to doors and mirrors, while its greater rise makes room for taller vehicles and taller techs, too.”
With a 9,000-pound capacity, the freestanding lift is built for serious work and peace of mind. It is ALI Certified and has passed independent industry safety tests. For reliability, it uses a single hydraulic cylinder tucked neatly under one of the runways. The locking system is robust, with 17 different positions spaced every four inches, and an independent backup slack-cable system for an extra layer of protection. BendPak also focused on long-term durability, using components like heavy-duty dual-hub cable sheaves and stainless steel lifting cables, all concealed within the columns for a clean, professional look.
While built for big trucks, the lift is surprisingly versatile. Its runways can be adjusted to handle narrower cars, and the approach ramps are removable for better drive-under clearance. BendPak even offers an optional compact air compressor that can be mounted directly on the lift for garages without a dedicated air supply. It’s a thoughtful and complete solution, finally offering a four-post lift that matches the reality of the big trucks and various types of vehicles rolling into garages today.
