New C10 Tubular Crossmember From QA1

New C10 Tubular Crossmember From QA1

When it comes to discussing suspension upgrades, QA1 is typically included. It stands to reason, as they make great products to enhance how a car or truck handles. What’s more, they are constantly looking for ways to improve current offerings. For you C10 guys, an impressive improvement will soon be available.

We were fortunate enough to get a sneak peek at a new tubular crossmember that is being developed for 1963-1972 and 1973-1987 C10 trucks. This is not just another run-of-the-mill part. For you handling junkies, this comes with an integrated rack-and-pinion steering. Like I said, I got a sneak peek which means it is not available yet, but it should be by the end of summer. The crossmember will be available as a complete kit with everything you need for the front end of a stock truck (crossmember, steering rack, control arms, shocks, springs, etc). If you already have a QA1 suspension under your hauler, don’t worry, this new crossmember is also compatible with QA1’s existing coilover kits. That means you can use an available retrofit kit to update your existing QA1 setup with a couple of minor bolt-on mods to the shocks and control arms.

The crossmember offers up to 8 inches of total drop for the perfect stance (adds 2 inches of drop to an existing QA1 coilover system. You will also experience quicker/tighter steering with the rack-and-pinion conversion for modern drivability characteristics. The increased shock travel (even at lowered ride heights) will deliver great ride quality and performance, all in an easy-to-install part that doesn’t require any cutting or welding of the frame. All tubular components come powder coated and ready to bolt on (the images are of a raw unit before coating).

If you’re interested in being one of the first to be notified when this new crossmember is available, QA1 has created an email list and you can sign up at QA1.net/c10.
