Red Line Oil has just released a new automatic transmission fluid for Powerglides, TH400s, Torqueflights and other racing automatics. The new Lightweight Racing ATF can help lower transmission temperatures, and help your transmission come up to proper temperature quickly.
Official Release
Lightweight Racing ATF
A revolutionary product for drag racing, Red Line Oil’s new synthetic Lightweight Racing ATF offers dramatically lower transmission temperatures and far more consistent performance from Powerglides, Turbo 400s, Torqueflights, and other automatic racing transmissions.
A proven choice for Super-class, Comp, and bracket racing, this ATF was originally developed with NMRA Champion John Urist for use with turbocharged and supercharged heads-up doorslammers (where fluid failures are an every-day experience). Most fluids in these top ADRL, NMCA, ORSCA, and PSCA classes are thrown away in one run due to extreme collection of heat. This fluid resists this abuse to enable proper torque converter lock up, better clutch and gear wear, and the ability to make multiple runs without a fluid change. This fluid’s low viscosity offers less frictional drag for quicker ETs and more MPH, too. Testing in Super Comp and Top Dragster provided .03- to .05-seconds of increased consistency.
Its tremendous stability and low viscosity compared to most racing ATFs allows Lightweight Racing ATF to get up to temperature quickly, yet remain at a lower operating temp than conventional or other synthetic fluids. Lacking the slipperiness of a Dexron III, this fluid still offers the synthetic benefits like extreme-pressure protection provides much better film-strength one expects from a Red Line trans fluid.
Available now in quarts (MSRP $10.95) and gallons (MSRP $43.95) from Red Line Oil dealers nationwide. To find a dealer or order online, log onto www.redlineoil.com. Contact: Red Line Synthetic Oil Corp., 6100 Egret Court, Benicia CA, 94510, (800) 624-7958.
