This Renegade RV-built Motorhome is equipped with a twin-screw supercharged Mercedes powerplant followed by an UltraShift 13-speed automatic transmission. This engine and transmission combo is one of the most powerful and desired combinations for racers everywhere.
This month’s rig is a 45-foot long motorhome manufactured by Renegade RV in 2009. This previously-owned hauler may have a few years of age, but the low miles will surprise you.
“This Renegade rig has just turned over 20,000-miles on the odometer during the trip to our Cuba, Missouri dealership from its Texas home,” explains Alan Cape, President of Flying A Motorsports. “Along with the very low miles, it has always been stored indoors out of the sun and weather. There aren’t even any rain streaks to clean up.”
The specialty floorplan features an ultra-leather upgrade to the captain’s chairs, lounge sofa, and dinette area. Both the dinette and j-shaped sofa fold into sleeping amenities. All cabinetry is hard maple, while the walls highlight a padded option with wainscoting. The black countertops and trim are constructed with Hanex brand material.
Cape stresses the Flying A shop has thoroughly inspected the rig to ensure nothing has aged despite its very low miles. “It looks brand new. We want the new owner to have a rig that operates like new, as well.”
“The front steering tires have been recently replaced,” Cape continues. “We are also installing eight brand new tires on the tandem rear axles due to their age. Other details such as servicing the 12.5 kilowatt Onan brand diesel generator will have the truck operating as new as it appears.”
Inside and out, you cannot easily tell the age of this 20,000-mile rig compared to absolutely brand new units on the same sales lot. The premium leather interior package, padded walls, and black lava porcelain flooring appear unused.
The basic “bones” of this rig include an extra interior height package, a 40,000-BTU furnace system, and three 15,000-BTU air conditioner units. Along with the Onan generator, it includes a 2,000-watt power inverter system and LP gas system located remotely between the frame rails.
Renegade motorhomes and trailers are highly sought after (whether new or used) as they come on the market. This design has a 14-foot slide-out located at the living room area and one at the rear bedroom. The master bedroom is equipped with a king-size bed, matching maple wood cabinetry along with black lava porcelain flooring throughout the floor plan. A unique central vacuum cleaner system is incorporated across the living areas.
Both the dinette and j-shaped sofa fold into sleeping amenities. There is a bunk area and master bedroom to comfortably sleep seven to eight at the races.
To offer amenities just like home, LCD televisions are mounted in the living and master bedroom areas. An entertainment center option is built into the outside saddle area. All of these feature DVD and VHS players, surround sound systems, and are fed by a powered antenna and a Lo-Pro R6 satellite feed.
“The kitchen is really nice and appears as unused as the rest of the rig,” Cape describes. “It is all stainless with a 14-cubic foot fridge, outside fridge, stainless microwave, and Jenn-Air two-burner stainless electric cooking range.”
The Missouri location for Flying A Motorsports hosts a wealth of new and used hauler/motorhomes and trailers of all shapes and sizes. Cape finishes, “Not only do we also have a large inventory over our acreage, we are also partnered with Elite Motorsports in Oklahoma where customers can alternatively pick up our trailer lines for convenience. The same goes for Elite’s inventory available through us.”
Despite its extremely low miles and indoor storage, Flying A Motorsports has also gone through the motorhome and performed maintenance on many components such as the generator, plus replacing all drive tires due to age.
