Speedway Motors Acquires Finish Line Racing Suits

Speedway Motors, the family owned and operated business that was founded by “Speedy” Bill Smith in 1952 is entering it’s 60th year of operation, has celebrated the anniversary by acquiring the Finish Line brand of racing suits.

Often called “America’s Oldest Speed Shop” by owner “Speedy” Bill Smith, the company has become a trusted source for racers and hot rodders alike. Starting as a one man operation, Speedway Motors has grown to become an ultra modern distributor and retailer of street rod and racing products. Their 500,000 sq. ft. headquarters, located in Lincoln, Nebraska, is the central location for the warehouse and shipping operations.

Speedway Motors almost unmatched growth in the past 60 years is nothing short of phenomenal, covering different eras of retail from walk in and mail order to electronic purchasing. If the next 60 years is anything like the past 60 years, Speedway Motors will be bigger and even more efficient, and probably still the trusted resource for vintage hot rods and racing parts.
