SVE Sends The 2024 Camaro Out With A 1500 HP Bang

For over three decades, Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE) has cemented its reputation as a leading Second Stage Vehicle Manufacturer and Tier One Supplier to General Motors (GM) and its dealers. With a track record of producing over 65,000 specialized cars, trucks, and SUVs, SVE proudly claims the title of the number one GM Specialty Vehicle Manufacturer in the United States. This unparalleled expertise led to SVE being chosen as the exclusive builder of all current-generation YENKO Supercars and will be building a limited number of its 2024 YENKO/SC Camaro as the iconic car comes to the end of its factory production.

Based on the formidable SS 1LE platform, the 2024 YENKO/SC Camaros offer a range of powerful performance options: the Stage I with an automatic (Stage I only) or manual transmission, the Stage II, and the Stage III. These models build upon the foundation of the 1LE, expertly balancing the immense power generated by their supercharged engines.

The YENKO/SC Camaros retain key performance features from the 1LE including magnetic ride control, an electronic limited-slip differential, a performance-tuned suspension with unique bushings, springs, and stabilizer bars, and a robust cooling system consisting of an engine oil cooler, dual outboard radiators, transmission cooler, and rear differential cooler. The functional 1LE front splitter and rear spoiler enhance aerodynamics, ensuring these powerhouses stay planted on the race track. To keep drivers secure, Recaro Performance seats maintain their position even under high-speed conditions.

Recognizing the maxim that there is no substitute for cubic inches or supercharging, SVE followed both ideas with its supercharged custom-built 416 cubic-inch (6.8-liter) engine based on GM’s 6.2-liter LT1. This exceptional powerplant is featured in the 2024 YENKO/SC Stage I and II Camaros. In the new Stage III Camaro, a 427 cubic-inch (7.0-liter) engine elevates performance even further.

The Stage I delivers an astonishing 1,150 horsepower with 910 lb-ft of torque, while the Stage II cranks it up to 1,200 horsepower with 1,000 lb-ft of torque. For the ultimate thrill, the Stage III boasts an awe-inspiring 1,500 horsepower with 1,350 lb-ft of torque. These engines feature meticulously machined and blueprinted LT1 aluminum blocks, or in the case of the Stage III, GM’s 6.6-liter iron block, bored and stroked to 427 cubic inches.

All engines benefit from a computer-balanced race-quality rotating assembly, forged steel crankshaft, ARP main studs, forged H-beam steel connecting rods (Stage I and II), forged pro-series I-beam rods (Stage III), and forged aluminum pistons to complete the short block assembly. Up top are CNC-ported high-flow LT4 cylinder heads with high-lift springs, upgraded valvetrain (Stage III), ARP head studs, and a custom supercharger with a 10-rib dedicated belt drive system. A larger throttle body and custom stainless exhaust handle moving large quantities of air into and out of the engine. An upgraded fuel system and injectors ensure the engine always has plenty of fuel.

The 2024 YENKO/SC Camaro boasts a distinct appearance designed to turn heads. The striking YENKO® side stripes and the body-color painted carbon fiber hood, complete with an exposed carbon fiber hood scoop, pair perfectly with the Camaro’s lines. Additionally, the raised hood scoop cowl and decklid spoiler display the power of these vehicles with 1150HP, 1200HP, or 1500HP badges. The Stage II and Stage III Camaros are exclusively available in coupe models with manual transmissions, ensuring optimal racetrack performance, while the Stage I Camaro can be had with an automatic transmission for those who prefer clutch-free driving.

Beyond their awe-inspiring horsepower, the 2024 YENKO/SC® Camaros offer unique interior features that set them apart from the stock Camaro. These include the YENKO® trademark on display with embroidered floormats, headrest logos, and a YENKO® crest power badge.

Only 50 units of each variant of the Stage I and Stage II, and 100 Stage III Camaros will be produced, making them true collector’s items. These limited edition 2024 YENKO/SC Supercars are exclusively available through GM dealers across the United States and Canada. The YENKO/SC is poised to captivate car enthusiasts with its remarkable performance and exclusive features, marking another milestone in Specialty Vehicle Engineering’s storied history.
