In drag racing routine maintenance is a must. Whether it’s between rounds or in the shop between race events, checking and servicing your engine is a part of life. To help make engine maintenance easier, Moroso Performance Products offers its Two-Piece Race Pan and is continually adding more engine block options to its lineup to serve more customers.
The Moroso Two-Piece Race Pan is fabricated from sheet aluminum with billet end seals for excellent sealing and fitment. These oil pans feature billet aluminum rails with an O-ring seal between the upper and lower halves, making it easy to remove the lower half for inspecting and maintaining the crankshaft and connecting rods in your engine. The upper half features an integrated drainback port while the lower half incorporates a -16 AN pickup port on wet sump models. The Moroso Two-Piece Race Pans also have an integrated trap door and windage screen for wet sump applications to help control oil in the pan.
Moroso currently offers its Two-Piece Race Pan for various big-block Chevy (BBC) pattern engine blocks, including Brodix, Donovan, Energy Manufacturing, and the Mark IV. The BBC pans are offered for both internal and external oil pump configurations on wet sump systems. Additionally, Moroso released this two piece design for Energy Manufacturing’s small-block Ford that is based on the 351W engine block. Moroso offers the 351W pan for a wet sump oiling system that uses an external pump and for a dry sump system. The 351W dry sump pan is a double kick-out design with two -10 AN drain-backs and four -16 AN pickups. Like the BBC pans, the 351W pan includes an integrated removable windage screen

All of the BBC Two-Piece Race Pans have a 7 quart capacity and the 351W wet sump pan will hold 8 quarts.
