Have you ever been in the money round of a race? It doesn’t matter how much prize money is on the line, there’s always just a little bit of pressure. Now, Imagine being in not one, but two different races for over $100,000. Well, that’s what Travis Harvey faced this weekend, and he turned on the win light both times for Justin Swanstrom behind the wheel of Prenup.

Big Jake Promotions brought a pack of the best small tire no time cars to Xtreme Raceway Park (XRP) for the Southern No Time Nationals. The $100,000 Bear Sh*t 28/275 Invitational Shootout was the class where the fastest of the fast did battle, and boy did they put on a show. If the $100,000 prize wasn’t enough, there was some serious grudge racing going on during eliminations as well that allowed racers to pocket even more money.

Let’s set the stage for what went down before racing started. People in the no time community had been calling out Justin “Little Country” and Corey “Big Country” Swanstrom about coming to this event, and how Texas racers would dominate them if they showed up. If there’s one thing you don’t do, it’s poke the bear known as Swangang racing. Justin had a plan to put the talented Travis Harvey behind the wheel of Prenup for this event. This team had a singular goal, go to Texas and bring home all the money.

The other big player in this story is Fletcher Cox and his sinister “Training Day” Camaro that was piloted by radial racing veteran Jason Michalak. Training Day is Cox’s Camaro that was running Pro 275 with a supercharged combo and was converted to a big cubic-inch nitrous mill for no time racing. The car showed its teeth early in testing and instantly became a favorite to win the Shootout.

Big Jake events bring out the real bears, not those who just act big online. Just like in nature, when you put a bunch of badass bears in one place, they’re going to fight to see who’s the best. In the case of no time racing, that means MASSIVE grudge races and side bets. Well, that happened in round one of the Shootout when Swanstrom and Cox locked in for a cool $100,000 each on their matchup. The air was electric at XRP for this race and it was truly epic. When the dust settled from the 660-foot battle, it was Harvey and Prenup taking out Michalak and Training Day for the $100,000.

Winning that $100,000 grudge race was just the start of Harvey and the Swangang’s night. The team then proceeded to saw its way through the rest of the field, and win the Shootout bringing home another $100,000. Oh, then there’s the additional side money they scored off side bets during the event. Needless to say, the Swangang had a good weekend of racing.

At the end of the night, Big Country wanted to make sure everyone knew who was the biggest bear in the state of Texas.

“I just want to let all the Texas gals and guys know, Prenup owns the mother ****** keys to this track. If anyone wants to come here and test, they got to call Justin Swanstrom.”
