What’s the connection between a turbo Mustang that runs high nines and teddy bears for hospitals? It’s a tragic story that the Eades family, of Surprise, AZ, lived through after losing their 6-month old daughter to a violent traffic accident. It’s something that no parent should ever have to endure, but they have chosen to celebrate their daughter’s life by making a difference in the lives of others.
One way of bringing attention to their non-profit Foundation is through racing. With a turbocharged SN95 Mustang, Chris Eades continues to bring his message of compassion and performance to the community and has found a great deal of support in the online Mustang forums.
With dedicated work, the 1995 Mustang GT has turned out to be a performer. breaking into the nines last year and posting consistent 60-foot times in the mid-1.4 range.
A new turbo setup and headers this year promise to bump the numbers even further. Their Foundation also got a boost this year, courtesy of an appearance on PINKS All Out.
The many things that the Jennabear Foundation does revolve around providing comfort to children and their families who are involved in the aftermath of a traumatic situation, be it an accident, cancer treatment or other unfortunate development.
Jennabears are custom-made to meet hospitals’ requirements for infection control and distributed widely. The Foundation has provided 1,500 of these bears so far.
